Naturally on the nose you get vanilla and oak, which continue onto the palate. What I think is really exceptional about this pour is the woodiness that is persistent from tip to tail while maintaining a light nature to the pour. Usually when oak is a predominant flavor, you end up with a whiskey that you can practically chew or something that has much more astringent properties. This Twin Oak is exceptionally smooth and not over poweringly oak. That said, if you don't like oak has a flavor, I would stay away from this pour. But if you want to live in what a Rickhouse smells like, this is the bottle for you.
