Producer InformationDomaine Dubreuil-Fontaine is a wine producer based in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or heartland. The estate makes a range of wines, both white (Chardonnay) and red (Pinot Noir) from their base in Pernand-Vergelesses and from vineyard holdings the surrounding region. The family domaine was established in 1879 Pierre Arbinet and, in 1977, the family acquired the Rameau-Lamarosse estate (its other holdings were gifted to the Hospices de Beaune, which still produces a Cuvée Rameau-Lamarosse from holdings in Pernand-Vergelesses). The estate is currently run by fifth-generation Christine Dubreuil alongside her daughter Clémentine Gruère-Dubreuil. It boasts vineyard holdings across Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pommard, Beaune and Volnay. Top wines include the grands crus, Corton Perrières, Corton Bressandes, Corton Clos du Roi (red) and Corton-Charlemagne (white) with a number of premiers crus in Pommard (Epenots), Pernand-Vergelesses (the red Ile des Vergelesses and the Sous Frétille and Clos Berthet Monopole whites), Savigny-lès-Beaune (Les Vergelesses, both red and white), Aloxe-Corton (the red Les Vercots) and Beaune (Montrevenots â also red). Numerous other cuvées are produced (including standard, village, Pommard, Volnay, Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses labels) with Dubreuil-Fontaine making a wines under a total of 22 appellations. These include a Bourgogne Aligoté, the Les Crenilles Bourgogne Chardonnay and a Bourgogne red (the cuvée Notre-Dame de Bonne Espérance from Pinot Noir grown across holdings in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Ladoix and Pommard). Grapes are hand-harvested before being pressed (whites) and fermented in temperature-regulated stainless steel tanks. Red wines are also fermented in stainless steel. Wines are aged in stainless steel and/or oak with proportions of new oak varying between 15 and 35 percent.
