Del Maguey Vida Mezcal is a handcrafted and artisanal spirit made from 100% organic Espadin agave grown in Oaxaca, Mexico. What sets this mezcal apart is its unique production process, which involves roasting the agave hearts in an earthen pit oven before being distilled in small copper stills. Tasting Notes

A nose of fruit aromatics, a hint of honey, vanilla and roasted agave. The palate offers ginger, cinnamon, burnt sandalwood, banana and tangerine, with a long, soft finish.

Production Notes

This mezcal is made the original, handcrafted way, employing the same rustic process that's been used in this region for more than 500 years.

Espadin agaves are harvested from the Oaxacan region of San Luis del Rio. The agaves are roasted for up to 8 days and this is followed by an 8-10 day wild fermentation. Finally, it is twice distilled in wood-fired copper stills, then bottled.
