It is named 1800 to commemorate the year tequila was first aged in oak casks. This splendid tequila is sold throughout the world and is a Mexican brand of tequila owned by the Beckmann family, who also owns the infamous Jose Cuervo tequila brand. It is made exclusively from 100% blue agave grown in the rich volcanic soil of Jalisco, and captures the essence of pure and authentic tequila flavor. It continues to drive innovation with this beautiful contradiction of a spirit. 1800 Cristalino is aged in both American and French oak barrels. After the liquid is married together and finished in Port Wine casks for an additional 6 months. It is then meticulously filtered via a unique process that adds smoothness without sacrificing taste.
