This 27 year-old Caperdonich Peated single malt has been matured in American oak barrels, bottled at cask strength and without chill-filtration. Smoky and fruity with rich aromas of peat, brilliantly balanced by flavour notes of juicy peach and orange milk chocolate. The finish is long, sweetly peated, with a hint of cinnamon spice.

TASTING NOTES

PALATE: Creamy vanilla and candied orange slices are followed by ​smoky charred oak.​

FINISH: Long and sweetly peated, with a hint of cinnamon spice.​

Caperdonich distillery, once stood on the banks of the River Spey, IS NO MORE. A building opened in 1898 and taken down, brick by brick, in 2011. This single malt is all that remains of the whisky from the ‘SECRET WELL’. A water spring where, legend tells, clandestine lovers used to meet in the dead of night.
